Blood Donation Camp on the occasions of Republic Day and 24th anniversary of Benaka Hospital Ujire.



Successful Blood Donation Camp Organized by Benaka Hospital, Ujire Benaka Hospital, Ujire, in association with the Indian Red Cross Society, Rotary Club Belthangady, and Sevabharathi Kanyadi, successfully organized another Blood Donation Camp at Benaka Hospital, Ujire. Blood donation is considered one of the greatest acts of charity. Dr. Gopalakrishna K., Medical Director of Benaka Hospital, emphasized the significance of blood donation, stating, "There is a saying that the greatest of all donations is blood donation. Blood has no caste or religion; when a patient needs blood, it cannot be given based on caste. The blood we donate has the power to save lives." Dr. Gopalakrishna K. presided over the inauguration of the blood donation camp held at Benaka Health Center, Ujire, in collaboration with Belthangady Rotary Club, Sevabharathi Kanyadi, Indian Red Cross Society, and Government Lady Goschen Hospital, Mangaluru, on the auspicious occasion of Republic Day. Speaking at the event, he stated that blood donation helps critically ill patients live longer and lead healthier lives. He highlighted that patients undergoing surgery, those injured in accidents, and individuals suffering from life-threatening diseases require blood under any circumstances, adding that a single donation can save up to four lives. Anantha Bhat Machimale, President of Belthangady Rotary Club, inaugurated the blood donation camp and remarked that donating blood not only benefits the recipient but also improves the health of the donor. The event was attended by Smt. Swarna Gowri, President of Sevabharathi Kanyadi, Sridhara K. V., President of Belthangady Taluk Pharmaceutical Traders Association, Shyam Bhat Attaje, President of Ujire Havyaka Zone, Shivakumar from the Red Cross Society, Belthangady, and Dr. G. K. India, who all extended their best wishes. Doctors Dr. Govinda Kishore, Dr. Vinay Kishore, Dr. Rajat, and Dr. Nayana Bhat actively participated in the program. Benaka Hospital's Public Relations Officer, S. G. Bhat, and Belthangady Red Cross Society Secretary, Yashwanth Patwardhan, also addressed the gathering. Under the leadership of Praveen and Benaka Hospital Manager Devasya, staff members of Benaka Hospital, Rotary Club members, and the general public generously donated blood, making the event a great success.
